Honeywell T87N "The Round" mechanical thermostat is a 1 Heat / 1 Cool conventional or single-stage 1H/1C heat pump (without aux. heat) model. Iconic simplicity and reliability make this thermostat a perfect choice where ease of use is a primary requirement. This model is mercury-free, has manual heat/cool changeover lever and implements a battery-assisted power stealing method. Designed for use with gas, oil or electric heating systems w/ an air conditioner or heat pumps without auxiliary heat. Also works for cool-only systems. Note that since this is a mechanical thermostat, it has a 2-3°F accuracy (compared to 1°F in digital models) which is expected.
