The Liberty Pump model 287 is an Automatic Sump/Effluent Pump w/ Vertical Float Switch. This pump features 1/2HP, 10' cord and 115V. The maximum fluid temperature is 140F.
This pump is made for sump and de-watering applications. Please note that it's not recommended for effluent applications due to its short on/off cycle. It can operate in a smaller 10” diameter sump pit. For residential and light commercial applications.
The Liberty Pumps model 287 has a 1/2” FPT discharge. It can handle solids of up to 3/4” and it has 37' shut-off head. The one-piece cast iron housing offers superior resistance as well as the thermally protected and permanently lubricated motor.
One of this pumps greatest features is the magnetically operated vertical VMF switch. It allows for the pump to shut off and on when the water reaches a certain level. The turn-on level is 9-1/2” and the turn-off level is 4”.
CAUTION: This pump should NEVER run dry.
